On March 12, 2015, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) issued corrections to a previously published final rule that had been issued on December 16, 2014. The December final rule, “Incorporate Various Administrative Changes and Internal Policies in to the USAID Acquisition Regulation (AIDAR),” made updates to AIDAR (48 CFR Parts 701, 702, 703, et al.) to maintain consistency with Federal Acquisition Regulation, incorporate USAID internal policy into the regulation, and remove outdated material and references. The rewrite of the AIDAR required all parts of the regulation to be reviewed and updated to align with new legislation and previously implemented policy, updated titles and acronyms, and removed outdated information and obsolete forms.
The March update to the December final rule includes corrections to 48 CFR Parts 709 and 752.
